Tucked into landscaped grounds a short drive from Leura Mall, Basecamp Lodge is a small cabin that punches well above its size. Light timber, clean lines and a sense of calm – it’s built for two couples or a young family who want the mountains at the door and nothing much on the schedule.

Two bedrooms, a bright open living space and a kitchen that’s easy to cook in make it simple to settle in. Days start slowly here: coffee outside, birdsong through the trees, then out to the lookouts, waterfalls and forest trails that make this corner of the Blue Mountains worth the drive.

Keypad entry means you arrive on your own time. Everything after that is up to you.
